Advice on switching to shampoo bars
When you first switch to a natural shampoo bar, your hair may feel more oily than usual for a short while as it may produce excessive sebum. Conventional shampoos and hair products often contain silicones that coat your hair to make it feel soft and look shiny. These substances leave residues that are hard to remove with natural gentle products. This transition won’t last long and your scalp will adjust quickly to your new hair washing routine.
Handmade and hand-cut, slight variations in shape, colour, scent and weight may occur.
Keep this bar on a soap dish and let it dry evenly to make it last longer.
Certification
The coconut oil is certified organic.
Eco Plus
Commercial shampoos are made of up to 80% water. As well as thickeners, flagrances and preservatives, they contain surfactants often derived from petroleum or hydrogenated fatty acids that can strip the oils from your hair and scalp. Synthetic conditioners, such as silicones, compensate for the striped away oils, coating the exposed and fragile hair cuticle with chemicals that not only can make your hair dull and heavy, but also accumulate and persist for years in the environment.
