225g tube of biodegradable soapnut shells with small muslin bag. Enough for 108 washes!

The only organic detergent that grows on trees! Soapnuts are a natural surfactant, also known as soap berries. They grow on the sapindus genus tree, and have been used for washing clothes for thousands of years. Soapnuts are very economical: as low as 3p per wash. Gentle on your wash, they create a mild foam, keeping colours brighter for longer whilst effectively removing dirt. Use by itself (with a few drops of your favourite essential oil if you like a flagrance on your fresh laundry), with bicarbonate of soda for very soiled loads, with percarbonate of soda to keep your laundry super white, or to top up your favourite laundry detergent.

I have been using these for 3 months now and I love them. Personally, I boil up about fifteen shells and make 2 litres of laundry liquid, which I transfer to bottles and keep in the fridge. You can simply put a few shells in the little bag provided and pop it in with your washing. The shells can then be stored and used again three or four times. They work really well and last for a long time.
