As a sharp object My First Opinel must be used under adult supervision.

My first opinel blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, which is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. A round ended tip for added safety, also perfect for picnic, to spread butter and make sandwiches.

The hornbeam wood handle is comfortable to hold, and has been covered in a protective varnish to make it moisture-resistant. It is ecologically sourced from managed forests in the Jura, France.

The Virobloc safety ring, or safety twist lock, allows the blade to be locked in either the open or closed position.

Made traditionally in Savoie, France, to the highest quality standards.

Stainless steel does not require any special maintenance. Hand wash, then dry thoroughly before folding.

It is against the law to sell knives to anyone younger than 18 years of age. OneStep will conduct age verification prior to dispatching this product.
