Description

This soap bar is 100% (with over half organic ingredients), infused with organic green tea, with added bentonite clay and a blend of peppermint, lemon and rosemary essential oils. Especially developed to get rid of toxin build up,  it is excellent as a facial cleanser and to target problem skin and acne. It also works great as a shaving soap and it can be used as a facial bar or body soap.

Organic Colloidal Oatmeal gives this soap a slightly rough texture, making it a fantastic all-natural scrub that also sooth and protects irritated skin.  The saponins also remove dirt from pores.

This soap bar is made using the traditional cold pressed soap making methods with wood moulds.

All ingredients are vegan friendly, palm oil free, sustainably sourced and biodegradable. The full list of ingredients is listed under the Production Tab. Here are the properties of the key ingredients:

Green Tea
Green tea is packed with benefits for your skin. It is rich in many antioxidants and flavonoids which helps with cell regeneration.  In particular EGCG, a catechin that can reactivate cells and reduce irritation, redness, and swelling. The polyphenols in the tea give it strong anti-inflammatory properties.   These antibacterial agents damage bacterial membranes, resisting infection and bacterial growth. As a bonus, green tea contains Vitamin B2 and Vitamin E, key in maintaining collagen levels and encourage cell growth.

Bentonite Clay
This clay is able to bind to bacteria and toxins living on the surface of the skin and within the pores and extract it.  This helps to reduce the outbreak of blemishes, alleviate redness, clear blackheads and purify your skin from environmental pollution, excess sebum, dirt, germs, and dead skin cells. It reduces inflammation and redness.

Colloidal Oatmeal is very moisturising due to the high level of fat found in it and is also anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant.

Peppermint Essential Oil
The strong anti-inflammatory properties of peppermint oil help reduce skin inflammation and acne and have a calming effect on skin inflammation.  According to medical studies, its anti-microbial properties contribute to its ability to help cure acne naturally. It controls the secretion of excess oil and prevents the clogging of pores and the outbreak of acne.

Lemon Essential Oil
One of its benefits is that it reduces acne and nourishes and hydrates damaged skin. It is an astringent and detoxifying in nature and rejuvenates sagging or tired-looking skin. Its antiseptic properties help in treating pimples and various other skin disorders.

Rosemary Essential Oil:
Rosemary helps firm and tone the skin by stimulating circulation in the lymphatic system. It increases blood circulation and blood flow to the areas where it is applied, reducing puffiness and swelling. It also contains many nutrients that the skin needs and has a high number of antioxidants.

APPLICATION:
If you apply your soap to a natural sponge, cloth or loofah, it will last much longer.

All soaps are hand-cut and stamped, with a little rough look around the edges.  The botanical infusion allows for colour variations from batch to batch.
